Meets the minimum qualification requirements for a workplace first aider. Programmes designed to meet the minimum requirements for persons to be certified as first aiders in the workplace will also need to take into account the Department of Labour guidelines and meet the New Zealand Qualifications Authority requirements.

A thorough course specific to those who may have to manage a casualty for extended periods (1-3 days). Evaluation and patient care skills are taught to improvise and treat fractures, dislocations, injury syndromes, spinal, abdominal emergencies and environmental challenges. Detailed recordings are documented for handover to Rescue Services. Skills are also learnt to operate rescue equipment so you understand concepts such as spinal immobilisation, traction splinting and advanced life support. These concepts are improvised in the outdoors but can also be used to help Emergency Services when they arrive.
This unit standard is for people who have responsibility for young children, including those who provide home-based education and care services for young children.

These courses are for Health Professionals requiring regular updates for their certifications or licences. Each participant is assessed under the NZRC guidelines.
This is a 16hr course specialising in extended patient care and extrication and is for those who require a higher level of knowledge or are involved in high risk activities. The refresher is required every 2 years and lasts for 9 hrs. This refresher also acts as the PHEC refresher.
